Senior Security Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Security Specialist to join our Security Assurance & Compliance Management team. In this role, you will help strengthen and evolve our security posture across a rapidly changing telecom landscape. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing expert guidance on secure architecture, risk mitigation, and industry-leading best practices.

As a Senior Security Specialist, you will support both strategic and operational security initiatives, with a primary focus on mobile core network environments, while also covering broader telecom domains such as RAN, Transport, OSS, and Telco Cloud.

What you’ll do:

You will drive and support security initiatives across mobile core and broader telecom domains, ensuring robust and resilient telecom operations through expert assessments, governance, and collaboration.

• Drive and support security initiatives across mobile core and broader telecom domains, including security assessments
• Provide expert input on secure architectural designs, technology decisions, and conduct risk assessments, threat modelling, and security reviews
• Support sourcing with security requirements (primarily ISO 27000 alignment), perform supplier security audits, and represent the security function in internal and external forums
• Provide expert support across the organization on security matters related to Virtualization, Operating Systems, Applications, Networking, Architecture, Telia Policies, Encryption, Access Controls, and Backup, including support in handling and resolving security incidents, investigations etc.
  
  

What will help you thrive in this role:

You bring strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex security topics, and a collaborative, proactive, solution-oriented approach. You are able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with other security experts and cross-functional teams including Network, IT, Legal, Privacy, and Operations.

• 7+ years of experience in the Telecom Industry, preferably with a strong background in mobile core networks and telco cloud
• Proven track record within Security, including operational and/or architectural contributions
• Security Certified Auditor credential (CISA, CISSP) or equivalent security certification
• Architectural understanding of telecom environments, including interfaces, protocols, and end-to-end ecosystem interactions
• Solid knowledge in IT technologies, including networking, infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud native concepts
• Technical degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or similar) and relevant certifications such as CISSP.

For Lithuanian applicants only: monthly salary range for this position is from 4300 to 6400 EUR (gross) + annual performance bonuses. Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
