We are looking for a highly driven and experienced Global Custody Project Manager to lead and deliver complex custody-related initiatives across international markets.
This role sits at the intersection of custody operations, regulatory change, technology transformation, and client servicing. You will manage end-to-end project lifecycles while coordinating multiple stakeholders including depositaries, fund administrators, transfer agents, asset managers, and technology providers.
The ideal candidate combines strong custody expertise with structured project governance and excellent stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead global custody-related projects from initiation to implementation
- Define scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and budgets
- Ensure alignment with regulatory, operational, and client requirements
- Manage project governance, steering committees, and reporting
Custody & Depositary Expertise
- Oversee projects involving:
- New fund launches and restructurings
- Market entries and cross-border custody setups
- Depositary model changes
- Safekeeping and asset servicing enhancements
- Corporate actions and income processing transformations
- Regulatory initiatives (AIFMD, UCITS, CSDR, etc.)
Stakeholder Management
- Act as primary liaison between internal teams and external parties
- Coordinate with operations, compliance, risk, IT, and product teams
- Manage third-party vendors and sub-custodian networks
- Provide regular updates to senior management and clients
Risk & Governance
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks
- Support audit and regulatory reviews where relevant
Process & Technology Enhancement
- Contribute to digital transformation initiatives
- Improve custody workflows and operational efficiency
- Support system migrations, upgrades, and automation initiatives
Required Profile
Experience
- 5–10+ years in global custody, depositary services, or fund administration
- Proven experience managing cross-border custody projects
- Strong understanding of fund structures (UCITS, AIF, SICAV, RAIF, etc.)
- Experience in Luxembourg and/or other major fund jurisdictions
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Safekeeping models
- Asset servicing
- Cash monitoring
- Corporate actions
- Sub-custodian networks
- Familiarity with custody platforms and project management tools
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks impacting custody
Project Management
- Solid experience in structured project methodologies (PMI, PRINCE2, Agile)
- Strong planning, budgeting, and risk management skills
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
Soft Skills
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities

- Analytical mindset with attention to detail

Education & Certifications
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is a strong asset
- Additional custody/depositary certifications are advantageous
