About the role:


  • This position will contribute to delivering state-of-the-art identity and biometric software solutions designed to protect citizens’ identities and ensure secure digital services.
  • It is a key technical leadership role focused on coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver complex software work packages within large-scale identity and security programs.
  • The role combines hands-on technical understanding with structured project leadership, ensuring alignment between system design, integration, verification, and delivery milestones.



A typical day might include the following:


  • Planning and scheduling engineering activities to ensure alignment with solution milestones.
  • Coordinating closely with design authorities and verification & validation managers to ensure technical consistency and feasibility.
  • Facilitating technical workshops to clarify requirements, scope, and dependencies across teams.
  • Reviewing and challenging proposed designs to ensure they meet project constraints and quality expectations.
  • Monitoring progress, workload, and risks, and reporting updates to project leadership.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating technical risks while anticipating potential issues.
  • Ensuring compatibility and integrability between subsystem components.
  • Managing technical interactions with subcontractors and supporting procurement assessments.
  • Continuously improving delivery processes, tools, and best practices to strengthen engineering performance.



Required skills:


  • At least 5 years of technical experience in software development or software quality engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical leadership or management position.
  • Strong understanding of system development lifecycle, configuration management, and change management tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Proven ability to manage and mitigate technical risks while maintaining delivery commitments.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring subsystem integration.
  • Strong facilitation skills to lead requirement clarification workshops and stakeholder discussions.
  • Solid leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and create opportunities.
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • A collaborative attitude and strong motivation to grow professionally in project management.



Nice to have skills:


  • Project Management certifications (PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of security standards and regulated environments.
  • Additional certifications in leadership, agile methodologies, Lean Six Sigma, or related disciplines.
