Intermediate .Net Developer - On-site

MatchBox Consulting Group is searching for a Back-End Developer (C#) (6-month contract role) for our client in the Finance industry. The office is in Downtown Vancouver and the role requires the person to work on-site in the office Monday to Thursday and then remote on Friday.

Role And Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into backend technical designs and solutions.
• Design and build secure, scalable, and data-driven backend services and APIs.
• Ensure solutions meet standards for performance, reliability, testability, and maintainability.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
• Communicate progress and issues clearly with Business Analysts and Project Managers.
• Develop using C# .NET, SQL/NoSQL databases, and Azure cloud technologies.
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience with strong object-oriented programming skills.
• 3–5 years of professional experience developing C# .NET applications.
• Strong experience with SQL Server/T-SQL and database-driven systems.
• Familiarity with cloud development (preferably Azure) and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with React and Agile/Kanban environments is a plus.
