Salary: Up to $170,000 - $200,000 + Super (depending on experience – negotiable)

A rapidly growing Australian technology business is undertaking a full rebuild of its large-scale digital platform. The platform supports:

• 30,000+ orders per month
• 20,000+ appointments per month
• 100+ internal users (and scaling)

This is a mission-critical rebuild focused on scalability, reliability, performance, and long-term growth.

• React Native (Web)
• Node.js
• AWS Lambda & AWS SAM

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior/Lead Developer to architect and rebuild our entire platform from the ground up. This is not a maintenance role — you will own the technical vision, architecture, and execution of a high-concurrency, high-transaction system operating at scale.

You will design and deliver a secure, resilient, and scalable platform powering customer-facing and internal operational systems.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Platform Rebuild

• Lead end-to-end architecture of a scalable, high-availability system
• Design database structures for high concurrency and performance
• Implement robust monitoring, logging, and failover strategies
• Improve system reliability and performance at scale
• Strengthen security and role-based access controls

Core Platform Systems

• CRM / Customer Management System
• Scheduling & communications console
• Workflow and compliance processes
• Order & fulfilment system
• Reporting & analytics dashboards
• Internal operational task workflows

Product Development

• Build and scale customer-facing web and mobile applications
• Develop internal operational portals
• Integrate telephony and real-time communication systems
• Support intake, eligibility, and onboarding engine integrations
• Design real-time system components where required

About You

You are an experienced senior engineer who has rebuilt complex platforms from scratch and can demonstrate prior large-scale architecture work.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience rebuilding high-traffic, high-concurrency platforms
• Strong AWS backend architecture expertise
• Node.js and modern JavaScript ecosystem experience
• GraphQL optimisation and performance tuning
• Real-time system design experience
• Database design for scale and reliability
• Security best practices and RBAC implementation

Highly Regarded

• Experience in regulated or compliance-heavy industries
• Exposure to complex workflow or transaction-based platforms
• Experience building complex portals (e-commerce, marketplace, SaaS, etc.)

You must be able to demonstrate previous projects and walk through architectural decisions during the interview process.
