Backend Developer

For our R&D department, we are looking for an experienced Backend Developer (medior/senior level) with full-stack affinity.

Do you have at least 5 years of experience with Node.js and JavaScript? Would you like to work in a technically innovative environment where you combine backend expertise with modern frontend technologies such as Svelte? Your Role

As a Software Engineer, you will work within a multidisciplinary project team to develop and deliver future-proof software solutions. You actively contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction, translating ideas into practical, working solutions.

Your responsibilities include:

• Supporting the development of modern frontend web applications
• Designing and implementing Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) APIs
• Optimizing applications for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Collaborating with architects, UX designers, and fellow developers
• Refining user stories and preparing technical, functional, and test documentation

You will be fully involved in ongoing projects and have the opportunity to contribute your vision and technical expertise.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree level (HBO) working and thinking level, preferably in Software Engineering or Application Development
• Experience developing and integrating APIs (REST, GraphQL, OData)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Node.js, JavaScript (ES6), and TypeScript
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as Svelte, Aurelia, or Vite
• Experience with Testing Library, Cypress, Git, Linux, and Docker is a plus
• Affinity with industrial environments, machine integration, or IoT is a plus
