We recently raised $3.5M (DOMiNO Ventures, Y Combinator, Formosa Capital, Rebel Fund, BD Partners, N1 Tech, 212 VC, BLAST, Eight Capital, and Maiora Rebel Ventures.) and are developing proprietary on-premise AI models designed for secure, enterprise-grade voice infrastructure. Freya combines speech recognition, natural language understanding, and real-time voice interaction to deliver next-generation customer communication experiences.

About the Role

We’re hiring a Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and scale both the product surface and the underlying systems that power Freya’s AI voice platform.

This role requires deep ownership across frontend, backend, and deployment layers. You’ll work on real-time communication systems, AI integrations, enterprise deployments, and performance-critical interfaces.

You will not just consume APIs — you will design them.

You will not just build UI — you will reason about rendering behavior and system performance.

You will not just ship features — you will own them in production.

• Design and implement scalable backend services (Python)
• Build and maintain production-grade frontend applications (Next.js, TypeScript)
• Architect real-time systems using WebSockets / WebRTC
• Design clean, versioned, well-documented APIs
• Optimize system performance across frontend and backend layers
• Implement secure, enterprise-ready on-premise deployments
• Debug complex cross-stack production issues
• Contribute to system architecture and long-term technical strategy
• Collaborate closely with AI, Product, and Infrastructure teams

Required Technical Skills

Frontend

• Strong understanding of React fundamentals (render cycle, reconciliation, hooks lifecycle)
• Ability to reason about state management, re-renders, and performance
• TypeScript proficiency
• Next.js experience

Backend

• Strong Python experience
• RESTful API design
• Experience building scalable services
• Understanding of async patterns and concurrency

Infrastructure

• Docker
• Basic DevOps and deployment workflows
• Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals

Nice to Have

• Experience with LiveKit
• WebRTC or real-time streaming systems
• Experience with AI model integration
• TanStack (React Query, Table)
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• Experience with on-prem or enterprise deployments
