Back End Developer

Backend Developer (Node.js / AWS / Kubernetes):

• DCG IT Ltd (trading as Digisourced) is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this freelance assignment.
• We are currently sourcing an experienced Backend Developer to support a major enterprise transformation programme for a global client based in The Hague.
• This is a long-term contract opportunity focused on building and scaling high-performance, cloud-native backend services.

Project Details:

• Role Title: Senior Backend Developer (Node.js/AWS)
• Location: The Hague, Netherlands (Hybrid)
• Duration: 12-Month Initial Contract (High potential for extensions)
• Start Date: Immediate / Q2 2026
• Workload: Full-time
• Rate: Competitive / Market Rate (To be discussed based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect & Develop: Design and scale high-performance backend services using Node.js and TypeScript within a modern microservices architecture.
• Cloud-Native Integration: Build API-driven integrations across complex enterprise systems, ensuring seamless communication between platforms.
• Infrastructure & Deployment: Work closely with DevOps teams to manage containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Helm.
• Best Practices: Implement and advocate for clean code, robust CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD/GitOps), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Collaborate: Act as a technical expert within an Agile environment, contributing to architectural decisions and resolving complex technical bottlenecks.

Technical Requirements:

• Core Engineering: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend development.
• Languages & Frameworks: Expert proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript. Deep experience with NestJS (or similar frameworks like Fastify) is highly advantageous.
• Cloud & Containers: Strong hands-on experience with AWS (specifically EKS and Secrets Manager) and Kubernetes.
• DevOps Tools: Practical knowledge of Docker, Helm, Terraform, and GitOps/ArgoCD.
• Architecture: Proven experience with REST APIs, Microservices, and enterprise-level system integrations.
