About The Role

Uber Mobile Release Platform engineering team is hiring backend engineer to bring our release platform to next level including automated, self-serving and high quality release processes including high performance, high reliability and high observability. The release platform is responsible for the insights and automation to perform safe rollouts in a staged manner with efficient mitigation along the way. And building and extending our platform and tooling across the entire mobile diff lifecycle for all mobile apps at Uber.

What The Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points

Deeply collaborate with developers, release manangers and app teams to understand requirements and provide solutions for mobile release processes improvement
Continuously innovate and develop mobile CD& release platform tools or automated, self-serving and high quality release processes with high performance, high reliability and high observability

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. Masters preferred.
3+ years of experience in professional software development experience, developing and deploying systems in production environments
Knowledge of different compilation steps (and ability to fix) in languages such as Golang or Java.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document architectures and system design
Experience with Software Engineering Best Practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Meet the basic qualifications
Experience with CICD infra development
Experience in iOS & Android development & or backend testing framework
Experience in Web development with ReactJS

For Sunnyvale, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$171,000 per year - USD$190,000 per year. You will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. All full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
