We’re hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer to embed within a core business unit and act as a strategic data partner. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and business analytics — owning data modeling, defining KPIs, and building scalable data foundations that power product and operational decisions. You’ll work closely with Product, Engineering, Operations, and GTM teams to translate ambiguous problems into structured analysis and durable data solutions. Strong SQL expertise, experience with dbt and modern cloud data warehouses, and the ability to drive measurable business impact are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional leaders to define, instrument, and own key business metrics and KPIs.
• Translate complex business questions into structured analytical frameworks and actionable insights.
• Design, build, and maintain dimensional data models using dbt (or similar tools).
• Develop scalable self-service dashboards and reporting solutions (Looker, Databricks, or similar BI tools).
• Establish data quality standards, monitoring, and documentation to ensure trust in data.
• Operationalize reusable analytical workflows and data products to reduce ad-hoc requests.
• Lead high-impact initiatives such as experimentation analysis, API usage analytics, cost attribution modeling, SLA tracking, or fraud/risk detection (depending on business unit).

Core Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Science, or Product Analytics roles.
• Advanced SQL skills with strong expertise in data modeling and query optimization.
• Proven experience building and maintaining transformation pipelines with dbt or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience with modern cloud data warehouses (e.g., Databricks) and big data environments.
• Strong experience with BI platforms (Looker, Tableau, Mode, Hex, etc.).
• Demonstrated track record of delivering measurable business impact through analytics.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence cross-functionally.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Python for statistical analysis or scripting.
• Background in experimentation and A/B testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with fraud detection, anomaly detection, or risk modeling.
• Experience in embedded or hub-and-spoke analytics models.
• Exposure to logistics, marketplaces, payments, API-first, or operationally complex platforms.

US Timezone Overlap: 6–7 hours of daily overlap with PST
