For our European Headquarters in Frankfurt am Main area (Offenbach) we are looking for a:

Java Developer (m/f/d)

This role within our project and operations team comprises a broad set of responsibilities focused on supporting project execution, maintaining the system environment, and overseeing application deployments throughout both development and operational cycles. As a Java Developer, you will play a key role in improving system performance and optimizing operational efficiency. Active participation in Agile software development processes is essential to effectively contribute as an integral member of the project team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, design, configure, and implement interface applications and web applications
• Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices
• Monitor Java system performance, resource utilization, user accounts, and database environments (Oracle or open-source databases)
• Conduct regular health checks to ensure system stability and availability
• Identify, analyze, and resolve functional issues across Webserver, WAS (WebSphere Application Server), and database layers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical incidents efficiently
• Maintain smooth and transparent communication with customers and internal development teams
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout project and operational cycles

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of Java and experience in Java-based application development
• Good knowledge of modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue
• Proficient in JavaScript or TypeScript, including libraries such as jQuery or Bootstrap
• Solid understanding of XML technologies (XSD, XSLT, XPath) and JSON
• Good knowledge of databases, including Oracle SQL and MongoDB
• Understanding of client/server and internet system architectures, including web services
• Experience with API technologies, such as REST and SOAP
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and extract key insights from data
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken
