The Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS) is on a bold journey towards Brisbane 2032 and beyond. Following the extraordinary success of Queensland athletes at the recent Olympic and Paralympic Games, we are now focused on delivering even more medal-winning moments through to Los Angeles 2028 and our home Games in 2032.

We are seeking talented, motivated individuals whose values and behaviours align with our team and culture. If you are passionate about high performance, committed to continuous improvement, and want to be part of something transformational, we invite you to join us on this exciting journey.

As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will be proactive and detail-oriented to support our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality HR services, managing sensitive information with professionalism, and ensuring compliance with governance and organisational policies. You'll thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment while contributing to Queensland's sporting success.

As the Human Resources Coordinator, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing HR support and advice, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively within the human resources team to coordinate and support recruitment and selection processes, including advertisements, candidate correspondence, and appointment letters and contracts.
  • Maintaining accurate workforce records and governance requirements.
  • Providing support and assistance in planning and coordinating QAS initiatives, culture group activities, and team projects to foster a positive and collaborative workplace environment.
  • Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handling sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines with exceptional organisation and attention to detail.

The QAS is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all athletes, children and young people that are involved in QAS supported sport programs.

We are committed to an environment where athletes from any background are heard, treated fairly and free from abuse.
