HR Coordinator
This role coordinates and administers core human resources functions to support efficient HR operations for their assigned region. Key responsibilities include payroll administration, onboarding support, maintaining accurate employee records, and administering benefits. This includes timely and accurate payroll, processing enrollments, resolving employee inquiries, maintaining records, all while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The position manages day-to-day HR administrative activities, supports employee engagement initiatives, and assists with reporting, audits, benefits renewals, and HR inquiries from employees and leaders. A high level of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail is essential.
The ideal candidate brings strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with a solid understanding of HR practices, payroll, and employment laws. Proficiency with HR systems and a proactive, data focused, service-oriented approach are critical for success.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accurate data entry, timekeeping validation, and timely resolution of discrepancies
- Support daily HR operations, including maintaining accurate employee records, HRIS (UKG) updates, and documentation to ensure data integrity and compliance
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork, background checks, orientation scheduling, and exit procedures
- Administer employee benefits and leave programs, including enrollments, changes, LOA tracking, responding to employee inquiries, and maintaining accurate records
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, supporting audits, reporting requirements, and maintaining up-to-date HR documentation
- Provide administrative and operational support to the HR team, including scheduling, preparing reports, handling correspondence, and organizing HR activities
- Respond to employee and manager inquiries, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and programs while ensuring a positive employee experience
- Track and maintain HR metrics and reports, supporting data accuracy and assisting with reporting needs, audits, and HR projects
- Assist with training and development activities, including coordinating sessions, maintaining records, and supporting employee engagement initiatives
- Support process improvements and HR projects, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and improve service delivery
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors, including benefits providers and background check vendors, to ensure smooth HR operations
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in HR or HR operations, including exposure to payroll, benefits administration, or total rewards
- Working knowledge of HR practices and employment laws, including benefits-related regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with HR systems and tools, including HRIS and Payroll platforms (e.g., UKG), benefits systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with employees, managers, and external partners
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain data integrity
Preferred qualifications:
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or similar certification
Compensation: $24–$32 per hour
