Design Manager – Hyperscale Data Centre Project

We are currently supporting a major hyperscale data centre development in Southern Finland and are looking to appoint an experienced Design Manager on a long-term contract basis.

This is a flagship European data infrastructure programme offering strong continuity and the opportunity to play a key role in delivering a large-scale, technically complex build.

The Role

As Design Manager, you will take ownership of the design coordination process across CSA and MEP packages, ensuring alignment between consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders. You will be responsible for driving design progress, managing technical risk, and ensuring programme milestones are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full design coordination process
• Interface between client, consultants, and main contractor teams
• Oversee CSA and MEP design integration
• Review technical submissions and ensure compliance with project requirements
• Manage design change, RFI processes, and technical risk mitigation
• Support delivery teams to ensure design is aligned with construction sequencing

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Design Manager on large-scale data centre projects
• Background working for a Main Contractor or Client/Consultancy (subcontractor-only experience will not be considered)
• Strong understanding of both CSA and MEP systems
• Experience delivering hyperscale or mission-critical facilities
• Demonstrated stability in recent roles
