Our client is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer (Backend + Reactjs) for a high-impact freelance assignment in Dubai. This is a mission-critical opportunity for a builder who thrives on ownership, innovation, and shaping the architecture of next-generation open finance solutions. What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, building, and optimizing backend systems with Java as your primary language
• Developing and maintaining full stack solutions, with a focus on backend but including Reactjs for front-end components as needed
• Orchestrating data flows and integrating with cloud-native services, primarily on AWS
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to challenge, refine, and elevate architectural decisions
• Proactively identifying technical challenges and proposing innovative solutions
• Acting as a mini engineering manager, providing technical leadership and mentoring to peers
• Driving the implementation of best practices in code quality, security, and scalability
• Engaging in open finance projects, leveraging domain knowledge to deliver impactful outcomes

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on backend development using Java
• Proven full stack capabilities, with solid experience in Reactjs (front-end expertise is a plus, but backend is the priority)
• Deep understanding of cloud platforms, ideally AWS, and experience integrating with cloud-native services (e.g., Lambda, Python services)
• Track record of working on data-driven projects and orchestrating complex service calls
• Self-starter mindset: you don’t wait for instructions — you challenge, suggest, and build
• Experience acting as a technical leader or mini engineering manager, influencing architecture and team direction
• Open finance domain knowledge is a strong advantage
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, builder-first attitude

• Agile/Scrum methodologies

Language Proficiency

• Professional proficiency in English is required
