Role Overview

We are hiring an R&D Manager to lead embedded firmware and hardware development for our products. This role owns technical direction, people management, and delivery across the full product lifecycle—from concept and architecture through production and sustainment. The R&D Manager works closely with Product, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure on-time, manufacturable, and reliable product releases.

Key Responsibilities

• Own embedded and hardware development across one or more products, from feasibility to production support.
• Define system architecture and technical requirements across hardware, firmware, power, and connectivity.
• Lead embedded platform decisions, including MCU/SoC selection, RTOS/Linux, and firmware architecture.
• Manage, mentor, and develop engineers, including goal setting, performance feedback, and technical coaching.
• Ensure engineering quality through design reviews, coding standards, documentation, and adherence to development processes.
• Provide hands-on technical support when required, including firmware development, hardware bring-up, and debugging.
• Plan and oversee EVT/DVT/PVT activities; drive issue tracking, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Product Management on requirements, priorities, and delivery timelines.
• Work with Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers to support production, yield, and lifecycle issues.
• Maintain clear technical documentation, design records, and compliance artifacts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Computer, Embedded Systems Engineering, or related fields
• Strong expertise in embedded C/C++, system architecture, and low-level design.
• 12+ years of experience in embedded systems and hardware product development.
• Proven experience managing or leading engineering teams, with accountability for quality and delivery.
• Hands-on experience with PCB design, hardware bring-up, and production releases.
• Demonstrated ability to drive engineering quality, validation discipline, and process improvement.
• Native Arabic language proficiency is required.
• Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
