Lead Embedded Systems Developer

We are looking for you to join our team of skilled professionals. Vaisto is located in Tampere, and our clients are mainly big tech and industrial companies with large-scale projects, as well as international companies.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Guide the team in designing, developing, and optimizing embedded systems, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry standards.
  • System Architecture: Define and oversee the architecture of embedded software and hardware integration, balancing performance, power, and cost.
  • Coding and Debugging: Write, review, and debug low-level code (e.g., C/C++, Rust) for microcontrollers or processors, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
  • Project Management: Coordinate tasks, timelines, and resources, acting as a bridge between developers, stakeholders, and other departments.

The skillset and some requirements we’re interested in include at least the following:

  • Solid hands-on experience in embedded software development, preferably in the moving machinery domain.
  • Proficiency and background in technologies like C & C++, and Rust. The willingness to learn something new every day is super important.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments.
  • Our Finnish customers are mainly located in Tampere, so frequent on-site presence in Tampere is required. Please note that we can't provide relocation support for this position. We have also expanded our operations to Germany, so there might be international assignments in the future.
