We are looking for a talented and experienced Electrical Draftsman / Design Engineer to join our team in Muscat. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in LV Switchgear, VFDs, PLCs, and BMS systems, with strong proficiency in electrical design software and industry standards.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, SLDs, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar tools.
- Design and develop layouts for LV switchgear, motor control centers (MCC), control panels, VFD systems, and PLC interfacing.
- Prepare BOQs, material take-offs, load schedules, and cable sizing calculations when required.
- Ensure all designs comply with international standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Coordinate with project engineers, procurement, and site teams to ensure accurate and practical designs.
- Review, revise, and update drawings based on engineering comments or client requirements.
- Support the engineering team during testing, commissioning, and technical documentation processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of proven experience in electrical drafting/design in LV switchgear, VFDs, PLCs, and
BMS systems.
- Strong command of AutoCAD, EPLAN, or related electrical drafting software.
- Excellent knowledge of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel design, and industrial automation concepts.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with high accuracy.
- Good communication, teamwork, and coordination skills.
