Role Overview

As part of this role, you will collaborate with key stakeholders and apply your technical expertise across various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including:

• Requirements gathering and analysis
• Application architecture definition and design
• High-level and detailed design documentation
• Development and module-level ownership

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality code, leading validation across different testing phases, and supporting implementation, transition, and warranty activities. You will work in a collaborative learning culture that values teamwork, rewards excellence, and embraces diversity.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on development, configuration, testing, and deployment of end-to-end solutions using Java and related technologies.
• Lead requirements elicitation, recommend architecture solutions, and prepare detailed designs.
• Enhance and customize existing applications while ensuring DevOps and automation best practices are implemented.
• Guide distributed Agile teams on processes and deliverables.
• Contribute to proposal development, client training, internal capability building, and project scoping.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
• Ensure application performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience in Java development (preferably 5+ years).
• Proven ability to design and architect end-to-end Java-based solutions.
• Strong experience developing REST APIs.
• Experience with IBM WebSphere.
• Good knowledge of Oracle and NoSQL databases.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
• Familiarity with:
• DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments
• Configuration management and automation tools
• Build and release tools such as Git, Jenkins, and TeamCity
• Logging and monitoring tools to maintain SLA compliance
• Good understanding of Scrum methodology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Norwegian and English.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Java development.
• Experience working in DevOps and Scrum environments.
• Self-motivated with strong analytical and communication skills.
• AZ-900 or OCJP certification is an advantage.
• Experience in the Telecom domain is preferred.
