Role Description
This position supports the Security Design Authority (SDA). The team is responsible for security architecture governance through the review of new and changing assets to ensure they are secure by design and adhere to security controls, policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
As a member of the security architecture team, the candidate will contribute to shaping the end‑to‑end security strategy, governance, and architecture across IT projects and designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate the progression of projects throughout the SDA lifecycle/workflow.
- Contribute to ideas and initiatives that enhance the bank’s enterprise security posture.
- Collaborate with other areas of the bank to ensure alignment with the overall IT vision, strategy, and architecture.
- Support team leadership in IT security strategic planning, risk analysis, and related activities.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in risk assessment and development of cybersecurity and information security processes and frameworks, including requirements definition and specifications.
- Working knowledge of security services such as encryption, authentication, intrusion detection and prevention, Identity & Access Management, application security, and network security.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, protection measures, and technologies.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity industry practices and techniques for measuring and reducing risk.
- Ability to work effectively in virtual teams and matrix organizations across global time zones.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Technical Skills & Certifications
- Strong preference for at least one of the following certifications:
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
- CISM (Certified Information Systems Manager)
Desirable Skills & Certifications
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
- Experience in large, multilayered global organizations with competing IT priorities.
- Experience working with or for a global financial institution.
