Key Responsibilities

• Proxy Administration: Install, configure, and maintain a diverse range of Fortinet appliances, including FortiProxy, FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer. Manage and maintain open-source Squid and HAProxy in RedHat Linux environment.
• Policy Management: Code and implement proxy security policies, URL categorization, and SSL inspection policies.
• Technical Support & Incidents Resolution: Serve as a Level 2 and 3 engineer to troubleshoot and resolve proxy issues, application-specific web connectivity or user-specific web surfing issues.
• Technology Lifecycle Management: Manage software upgrades. Evaluate Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) and implement appropriate mitigation strategies. Manage and track End-of-Life (EOL) and End-of-Service-Life (EOSL) for hardware and software components, ensuring timely replacements and upgrades.
• Traffic Engineering and Optimisation: Code, test and deploy Proxy Auto-Configuration (PAC) files to optimize web traffic routing and improve architecture performance.
• Automation and Productivity: Solution, lead and drive automation initiatives with developers to optimise productivity and improve user experience.
• User and BU engagement: Participate in discussions with users and BU – meetings, and gathering information and understanding of their requirements and translate to technical solutions/implementations
• Project engagement and BAU initiatives: Lead and manage projects and BAU initiatives. Manage the stakeholders, vendors, design, deliverables, timeline.
• Documentation and Security Baseline: Prepare technical reports, design documentation, procedural manuals, operations metrics, hardening and security baseline and health checks.

Job Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 5 years proxy operations and proxy administration role. Hands-on on the proxy management and administration role in network/infrastructure and proxy team.
• Education: Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering or science
• Certification: CCNA, Firewall Certification (e.g., Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE) or Proxy Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory)
• Have a solid understanding of web proxy technologies (Fortinet FortiProxy, Squid Proxy, BlueCoat Proxy, McAfee Proxy), Fortinet FortiAnalyzer, Fortinet FortiManager, Linux and DNS
• Strong knowledge of proxy technologies, network security, and secure communication protocols (SSL/TLS), Authentication protocols such as Kerberos, NTLM, LDAP, SAML.
• Have working experience on Firewalls, DNS, GTM, Load Balancers and Linux systems commands and VI editor.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communications skills
• Ability to work independently and effective as a team player
• Willingness to perform scheduled production change implementations during late nights and weekends as required by appropriate change windows.
