C# .NET AZURE AWS

On behalf of our client in the energy sector, we are recruiting a C#.NET & Azure Software Developer for a long-term assignment.

You will contribute to the energy transition by developing real-time software solutions that support electric grid balancing and connect physical assets, such as batteries and renewable parks, to forecasting and optimization systems, delivering secure, high-performance solutions with complex technical features.

Tasks:

As a software developer, you will contribute with the team to all activities:

• Collaborate with functional analysts and domain experts to clarify requirements.
• Design technical solutions and architecture (APIs, services, front-end/back-end interactions), documented with diagrams.
• Break down solutions into incremental agile development phases.
• Develop back-end services, APIs, and implement builds with testing and maintenance tools.
• Write and execute tests in collaboration with business stakeholders; produce documentation and user manuals.
• Provide user support, system monitoring, level 2 incident resolution, and root cause analysis.

Profile:

• You have at least 4+ years of software engineering with complex technical features, ideally with a master as polytechnic engineer.
• You have strong proficiency in C# and hands-on experience with Azure cloud (experience with AWS and willingness to transition to Azure is acceptable).
• You have solid experience building and operating event-driven and distributed systems (e.g., Kafka, Azure Event Hub, MQTT, Azure Service Bus), with good knowledge of PostgreSQL and Redis.
• You apply a strong testing culture (unit, integration, and production validation), implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure production-grade observability (metrics, logging, alerting with Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent).
• Experience with Scala, Rust, or Python is a plus, particularly for cross-team collaboration and code refactoring.
• You are fluent in English, with good command of French or Dutch.
