Go Platform / Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d):

• The role focuses on platform engineering and infrastructure ownership, with Go as the primary development language.
• You will work across backend engineering, Kubernetes, and cloud architecture, building the foundation that product teams rely on.

Engagement details:

• Initial 6-12 month contract (extensions likely)
• Remote working
• Germany-based delivery (German citizenship required)
• English and German speaking environment
• Contract engagement, up to approximately 40 hours per week

Role overview:

• We are looking for a Go Platform / Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud-native infrastructure and distributed systems.
• This is not a feature-only backend role; we need someone comfortable operating production environments and contributing to infrastructure strategy.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional engineering experience
• 3+ years of hands-on Go (Golang) development in production systems
• Strong practical experience with Kubernetes in production (Deployments, services, ingress, scaling, and resource tuning)
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Experience with Docker and Linux environments
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and troubleshooting containerized workloads

Responsibilities:

• Design and build Go-based platform services and infrastructure tooling
• Deploy, operate, and optimize workloads in Kubernetes production environments
• Contribute to or own Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform)
• Design scalable, resilient cloud architectures (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and implement observability (metrics, tracing, logging)
• Participate in incident response and reliability improvements
• Optimize infrastructure performance, scalability, and cost
