As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will be responsible for providing counsel and the highest quality of HR support to your regional managers and teams. You will coach and support management with the administration of TDG Human Resources policies, procedures and initiatives and work closely with the rest of the HR team in areas of health and safety, talent acquisition, retention and talent development, employee relations and engagement, compensation and benefits, performance management and overall legal compliance.

- Foster and drive team member engagement through the management of HR programs, policies, and initiatives, including WCB/WSIB, Disability and HR related training, reports and follow up.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention, and reduce turnover.
- Provide Employee Relations support including the interpretation of human resource policies and procedures as they relate to team members and Company objectives.
- Counsel management and resolve employee relations and performance management issues in the day-to-day. If required, conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations and provide recommendations for conflict/issue resolution.
- Promote Health and Safety by ensuring compliance, partnering with operational management to implement a solution when a concern is brought up and administering training completion across locations. Liaise with regulatory authorities.
- Work with the Talent Acquisition team to execute recruitment strategies to find talented team members to support ongoing requirements and new store growth.
- Manage the administration of Human Resource programs including analyzing trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Be a change management leader.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provide input and advice on budget preparation as well as manage activities to ensure that the HR department is on track with the established guidelines.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of the HR function, leading to the enhancement of the team member value proposition of TDG.
- Post-secondary degree in Business or Human Resource Management, with 5+ years of Human Resources experience in an advisory or management capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience working in unionized environments, with strong knowledge of labour relations practices, grievance handling, and collective agreement interpretation.
- Knowledge of current HR policies and practices, including applicable employment legislation.
- CPHR designation or actively working toward the designation.
- Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn in-house systems.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver effective presentations.
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment—both independently and collaboratively.
- A proactive self-starter with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Fully onsite position
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the year within Canada.
- Criminal Record Check required.
