Location – Customer Office, Toulouse City, France (Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week)
Job Description
The Platform Engineer will join the Platform team responsible for enabling internal development teams to self‑serve their applications in production through standard, reusable components and processes. The role has a strong focus on frontend development, contributing to internal developer tools such as the Developer Portal, Release Portal, and internal dashboards, while gradually expanding into broader Platform Engineering areas.
Your Role
The Platform Engineer will primarily focus on developing and maintaining frontend components for internal platform tools, working closely with senior platform engineers and backend teams. The role includes building user‑friendly interfaces, integrating frontend components with backend APIs, contributing to platform features across their lifecycle, and gradually learning backend development, infrastructure automation, and Kubernetes operations to grow into a full Platform Engineer role.
Required
- Strong proficiency in French and English, with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Mandatory onsite work: 3 days per week at the customer office in Toulouse, France.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development
- Strong knowledge of Vue.js (Vue 3, Composition API)
- Experience with TypeScript
- Basic experience or exposure to React
- Proficiency with frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite) and package managers (npm, yarn)
- Understanding of REST APIs and frontend integration
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SCSS/SASS, and modern component frameworks (e.g., Vuetify)
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Basic understanding of backend development concepts
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
