Day Rate: PAYE €452.75 per day OR Umbrella/Ltd €577.67 per day

Atrium Global is partnering with a client in the healthcare sector to secure an experienced Data Modeler / Analyst to support the build of a modern, governed lakehouse environment that enables scalable analytics and trusted data across the organisation.

Job Overview

This is a fusion role sitting between data modelling, analysis, and architecture. You will bridge product, architecture, and data engineering teams to shape domain models end to end, ensuring engineers receive clearly defined, high quality, and production ready data structures.

You will lead domain discovery, design conceptual through to physical models, and define the standards that underpin secure, performant, and maintainable data solutions. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers and contributing to overall technical direction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead domain discovery workshops with business and technical stakeholders
• Build conceptual, logical, and physical data models including ERDs and schema diagrams
• Produce data flow diagrams (DFDs) and system interaction diagrams
• Design and implement Azure Delta Live Tables (DLT) pipelines
• Design and optimise MySQL storage models including indexing and partitioning strategies
• Define data contracts and SLAs with partners
• Tune performance and cost across Delta Lake and MySQL workloads
• Embed governance, lineage, and metadata management best practices
• Collaborate closely with architects, product managers, and data engineers
• Prepare and package well defined data structures for engineering teams
• Coach and mentor junior colleagues

REQUIREMENTS

• 6+ years’ experience in data modelling
• Strong experience across conceptual, logical, and physical modelling
• Expertise with Azure Delta Live Tables (DLT) and Delta Lake storage
• Strong MySQL physical modelling experience
• Ability to produce ERDs, DFDs, and other architectural diagrams
• Strong SQL and data modelling fundamentals
• Experience working across product, architecture, and engineering teams
• Confident stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to work onsite in Dublin twice weekly
