Vacancy: Front-End Developer (Vue)

About the Role

For a client in Belgium, we are looking for a Front-End Developer with Vue experience who wants to work on modern web applications within a professional and technically mature environment.

You will contribute to developing scalable front-end solutions where performance, accessibility, and maintainability are central. The focus is on Vue (especially Vue 3), but strong foundational frontend knowledge is at least as important.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop modern front-end applications with Vue.js (2 & 3)
• Build reusable and scalable components
• Work with modern build tooling and frontend workflows
• Optimize performance and client-side rendering
• Implement accessibility guidelines (WCAG)
• Collaborate with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders
• Contribute to design systems and component libraries
• Conduct code reviews and improve frontend standards

Must-Haves

• Strong experience with JavaScript (ES6+)
• Good knowledge of Vue.js (experience with Vue 3 is a big plus)
• Experience with:

- HTML5

- CSS3 / SCSS / SASS

- TypeScript

• At least several years of professional frontend experience
• Experience with Git workflows
• Familiar with the NPM ecosystem
• Experience with modern frontend architecture
• Good communication skills

Nice-to-Haves (Preferred)

• Experience with build tools such as:

- Vite

- Webpack

- Rollup

• Native Web Components:

- Custom Elements

- Shadow DOM

- Templates & Slots

• Accessibility / WCAG (a11y)
• Basic knowledge of Node.js
• Experience with Design Systems
• Storybook / component documentation tools
• Jira / Confluence
• Bash scripting
• Docker experience
• Chromatic or visual testing tooling
• Interest in AI tooling within development
