You will be joining a global medical technology leader with operations across more than 15 countries.

The organisation is currently centralising its Commercial Excellence and Business Intelligence capabilities in Lisbon, positioning this hub as a strategic pillar to support international performance, reporting governance and data‑driven decision‑making.

The role is part of a wider transformation initiative to scale BI maturity, standardise KPI frameworks and elevate business insights across multiple international markets.

Your New Role

As Director Business Intelligence P&R International, you will define and execute the BI strategy for Performance & Reporting across regions, ensuring robust KPI governance, semantic data models, high-quality reporting and sustainable BI operations.

You will lead and expand the BI team in Lisbon, providing strategic guidance, coaching and direction to junior and mid‑level profiles, while partnering closely with senior stakeholders to enable business‑critical decisions.

You will own month‑end consolidation, international KPI reporting, and executive dashboards, while advancing BI adoption across commercial, finance, marketing and operational teams worldwide.

What you need to succeed

Leadership & Strategy

• 10+ years of progressive experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics, with proven leadership in international environments.
• Ability to define strategy, drive governance, and create BI structures that scale across multiple regions.
• Experience mentoring and developing teams, and building high‑performing BI functions.

Analytical Excellence

• Strong analytical background, capable of translating complex datasets into clear strategic insights.
• Solid understanding of P&L, financial KPIs, scenario modelling, and business performance analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, Excel modelling and KPI frameworks.

Stakeholder Influence

• Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence senior leaders globally.
• Proven experience working closely with General Managers, VPs and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to articulate insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Data Governance & Quality

• Experience defining and maintaining semantic models, data pipelines and BI governance frameworks.
• Focus on accuracy, consistency and long‑term sustainability of reporting ecosystems.

Preferred Background

• Experience within FP&A at some stage of your career is a strong advantage.
• Previous experience in life sciences, consulting or large multinational environments is highly valued.
• Fluency in English and strong cultural awareness are essential.
