Our client is a well-established Tier-1 automotive supplier recognized for delivering high-quality interior solutions to some of the most demanding premium OEMs globally.

The company operates a mid-sized, technologically advanced production facility and is entering a new phase of operational development and increasing complexity. With growing business across Europe, the United States and Asia, the plant is further strengthening its supply chain capabilities and organizational maturity.


This role represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced logistics leader who is motivated to drive performance, optimize end-to-end flows, and contribute strategically within a dynamic automotive environment.


Scope of responsibility

In this role, you will assume full leadership of the plant’s end-to-end logistics function, with accountability across inbound flows, warehousing, internal material supply, outbound distribution, and planning/customer service activities. You will ensure seamless coordination between logistics, production, and customers while further professionalizing processes, systems, and team capabilities.

The position carries both strategic and operational ownership, with a strong focus on transport optimization, inventory performance, and overall supply chain reliability in support of increasingly complex premium customer programs.


Key responsibilities

  • Lead, organize and develop the logistics function
  • Optimize inbound, internal and outbound material flows
  • Drive transport efficiency and cost improvements
  • Strengthen inventory management and stock turns
  • Support JIT/JIS and sequenced delivery requirements
  • Ensure high warehouse accuracy and process reliability
  • Partner closely with production and customers
  • Act as an active member of the plant management team
  • Develop capabilities and performance of the logistics organization


Candidate profile

Required:

  • Proven experience in the automotive industry (Tier-1 or OEM)
  • Demonstrated leadership of a larger operational team
  • BSc degree in a technical field or similar
  • Strong expertise in transport optimization and inventory management
  • Hands-on experience with SAP (MM/SD/EWM preferred)
  • Experience in JIT/JIS or sequenced delivery environments
  • Fluent Slovene & English (German is an advantage)

Preferred:

  • Experience in complex international manufacturing environments
  • Lean / continuous improvement mindset
  • Exposure to growth, ramp-up or transformation phases
