We are seeking a seasoned Data Scientist to lead our cross-location team developing Artificial Intelligence models and data analysis solutions.

As the Lead Data Scientist, you will be responsible for the entire data mining process, including collecting, cleansing, and exploratory analysis.

You will also be responsible for proposing solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges and developing Artificial Intelligence models, such as Machine Learning.

Your expertise in data science will be critical in driving our team's success and delivering value to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Work with EPAM’s clients and EPAM teams to shape-up AI/ML driven solutions’ technology vision
• Manage the data mining process, including collecting, cleansing, and exploratory analysis
• Propose solutions and strategies to tackle business challenges
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver value to our clients
• Stay current with the latest advancements in data science and Artificial Intelligence
• Mentor and develop junior team members
• Drive thought leadership in the data science and Artificial Intelligence domains
• Propose Data Science holistic solutions for customer problems

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data science, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Proven experience in data analysis, data mining, and exploratory analysis
• Expertise in Artificial Intelligence models such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Natural Language Processing
• Expertise in Cloud Services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Programming experience (Python preferred)
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Fluency in English
• Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Applied Statistics or a related field
