Project Manager – AI Data Center Infrastructure (Construction) | Sydney, Australia

The Role

We’re hiring a Project Manager to deliver AI data center infrastructure construction in Sydney. You’ll lead fast-paced, high-dependency projects in live or new-build data center environments—driving safe, compliant, on-time delivery of high-density AI-ready infrastructure (power, cooling, white space readiness, commissioning readiness, and handover). You will own disciplined execution across construction processes, document control governance, and contract administration.

What you’ll do

  • Lead end-to-end construction delivery Projects for AI / high-density data center infrastructure in Australia.
  • Manage contractors and specialist vendors across MEP, controls/BMS, fire, security, and network readiness and fit-out works.
  • Own construction workflows: RFIs, submittals, ITPs, NCRs, inspections, punch lists, closeout.
  • Drive commissioning readiness and handover: test packs, SAT/FAT evidence, as-builts, O&M manuals, training, and turnover to operations.
  • Lead document control governance: version control, approvals, traceability, registers, and audit-ready dossiers.
  • Manage contracts and commercial change: scope compliance, variations, EOTs, claims, and progress claims support (with QS/commercial teams).
  • Run project cadence and reporting: weekly updates, RAID logs, action tracking, escalation of blockers, executive-ready reporting.


What we’re looking for (must-have)

  • 5+ years delivering data center construction and/or mission-critical infrastructure.
  • Strong experience in construction execution, document control, and contract administration.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors/vendors on tight schedules with complex dependencies.
  • Strong understanding of MEP/critical systems delivery and construction-to-commissioning handover.
  • Proficiency with project/document platforms (e.g., Aconex, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, SharePoint) and strong MS Office skills.
  • Must be based in Sydney.

Nice to have

  • High-density / AI-ready delivery exposure (accelerated fit-outs, constrained power/cooling, tight commissioning windows).
  • PMP/Prince2 or construction/engineering qualification.
