CAPAC System Administrator / DevOps (Infrastructure)
Context: Modernization of IT infrastructure and strengthening the collaboration between infrastructure and development.
We are completing the migration from VMware to Hyper-V. At the same time, we are strengthening our Infrastructure team to address two major challenges: improving collaboration between our infrastructure and development teams, and supporting our 600 users in using modern and secure Windows infrastructure.
You are a key figure at the intersection of these two worlds: technical interface between developers and infrastructure, and reference expert for our end users on questions about environment, network and security.
Your responsibilities
Managing Windows environments
Managing and optimizing Hyper-V environments in production
Management and maintenance of Windows servers according to best practices
Management of critical network services: DNS, DHCP, NPS
Management and security of Fortigate firewalls
Implementation of robust security policies (access, segmentation, hardening)
Monitoring infrastructures and detecting incidents before they become critical
Developer and Cloud Environment Support
Technical interface between the Infrastructure team and the developers
Developer support for Hyper-V and OpenShift environments
Rapid troubleshooting and facilitation of technical dialogue for application-related infrastructure issues
Contribution to better mutual understanding of infrastructure and development requirements
Participation in improving deployment and support processes
End-user support
Reliable and fast level 3 support for ~600 users
Manage Windows updates, network configurations, and user-related security issues
Clear documentation of solutions and user training
Contribution to security policy and NIS2 compliance
Transversale management
Design and maintain robust and tested backup strategies (Veeam)
Clear documentation of your decisions and up-to-date maintenance of critical procedures
Close collaboration with Infrastructure, Development and Security teams
Clear communication about technical risks and solutions
Supporting other teams in major incidents
Wanted profile
Technical skills
Confirmed operational expertise in IT infrastructure Windows
Good knowledge of Hyper-V and virtualization environments
Solid knowledge of networks and security
Scripting (PowerShell, Bash)
Understanding Cloud Environments and Containers (OpenShift)
Basic knowledge of Java appreciated (facilitates discussions with developers)
Knowledge of NIS2 and/or ISO 27001 (major advantage)
Backup and recovery (Veeam or equivalent)
Experience
Minimum 10 years of confirmed experience as a System Administrator or equivalent
Real experience in managing and supporting Windows servers in critical environments
Experience with user and incident management
Ability to adapt in a transformational IT environment
Personal qualities
Accuracy and severity in operation of critical systems
Reactivity and pragmatism in incidents
Autonomy and sense of responsibility
Excellent communication and teaching skills (for user support)
Attention to documentation and traceability

Languages
French or Dutch: mother tongue
The other language (Dutch or French): good knowledge
Technical English: Essential for the Job
Course
Minimum higher education in computer science (graduate, bachelor, master)
Certificates related to Windows Server or Cloud (benefit)
