WasteHero is modernising municipal waste management across the Nordics. We work with five of Finland's largest waste management companies — serving over 2 million citizens — and are actively expanding our Finnish footprint with new tenders and partnerships. We deliver enterprise SaaS that handles CRM, billing, route planning, driver operations, and citizen self-service for municipalities that depend on us every single day.

We are a 50-person scale-up headquartered in Aarhus, Denmark, with engineering in Aarhus and Cairo, and a growing delivery presence in Finland. We are backed by long-term contracts and currently preparing for our Series A.

Why This Role Exists

Finland is WasteHero's fastest-growing market. Our existing consortium programme is well underway, and we are actively pursuing major new municipal contracts that will significantly expand our Finnish operations through 2026 and beyond. To support this growth, we are building out our Finnish delivery leadership team with a Senior Programme Manager who can take ownership of new client engagements, governance structures, and delivery operations as we scale.

What You Will Do

Lead delivery on new Finnish client programmes. As WasteHero wins new contracts in Finland, you will own the delivery relationship from mobilisation through go-live. You will build the governance structures, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure delivery meets the expectations of demanding municipal clients.

Represent WasteHero to senior Finnish stakeholders. You are our face to the customer. You communicate with confidence, professionalism, and composure — especially when things are complex. You translate technical delivery into language that builds trust with steering groups and boards.

Build scalable delivery practices. You will help define how WasteHero delivers at scale in Finland — governance frameworks, reporting standards, risk management practices, and acceptance processes that work across multiple concurrent programmes.

Coordinate across distributed teams. You work daily with Finnish delivery specialists, engineers, and migration teams on the ground, as well as product, engineering, and leadership teams at HQ in Denmark. You bridge timezone, language, and cultural differences seamlessly.

Manage programme economics. You understand that delivery decisions have commercial consequences. You track budgets, resource utilisation, and contract milestones with precision. You protect the company's commercial position while maintaining strong customer relationships.

What We Are Looking For

7+ years leading complex IT, ERP, or enterprise SaaS delivery projects in Finland. You have run programmes where the stakes were high, the stakeholders were senior, and the timeline was tight.

Experience with public sector or consortium clients. You understand how Finnish municipal organisations operate — multi-stakeholder governance, formal procurement, steering groups, and acceptance processes.

Structured, disciplined, and calm under pressure. You lower the temperature when things get tense. You resolve ambiguity rather than amplifying it. You come with recommendations, not just problems.

Commercially aware. You understand contract mechanics, penalty structures, change management, and the financial implications of schedule and scope decisions.

Fluent Finnish and English. You operate across both languages daily — Finnish with customers and local teams, English with HQ and leadership.

Strong documentation and reporting skills. You produce steering group materials, status reports, and risk assessments that are precise, honest, and built to enable decisions.

Location

Based in Finland. The role is primarily remote with regular on-site presence for steering groups, customer workshops, and team sessions at client locations across Finland. Periodic travel to Aarhus HQ.
