OBSS is looking for an Android Architect to lead multiple large-scale projects, design robust software architectures, and explore new technologies that meet evolving business needs. In this role, you will collaborate with technical and business teams to design, implement, and optimize complex integrated systems.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze existing mobile banking applications and evaluate their architecture, performance, and scalability to provide strategic recommendations to clients.
• Design and define robust, secure, and scalable mobile architecture for large-scale banking applications.
• Lead architectural decisions and establish best practices for Android mobile development in enterprise banking environments.
• Guide development teams on architecture standards, design patterns, and technology frameworks for high-quality mobile applications.
• Collaborate with product, security, backend, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration with banking systems and services.
• Define and oversee application lifecycle management, including versioning strategies, release management, and app store processes.
• Ensure compliance with security, performance, and regulatory standards required for financial applications.
• Review existing systems, identify architectural improvements, and provide technical guidance for modernization or transformation initiatives.
• Support technical decision-making processes and provide architectural leadership during project planning and delivery phases.

Qualifications / Technical Skills

• 10+ years of experience in mobile application development, including significant experience in mobile banking projects.
• 10+ years of experience in the banking or financial services industry, with a deep understanding of banking systems and infrastructure.
• Proven experience working with different banking infrastructures and financial system environments.
• Strong expertise in Android architecture and the modern Android technology stack (Kotlin/Java, Android SDK, Jetpack components, etc.).
• Deep understanding of mobile architecture patterns such as Clean Architecture, MVVM, and modular architecture.
• Strong knowledge of mobile application lifecycle management, including version management, app store publishing processes, and post-release operations.
• Experience analyzing existing mobile applications and providing architectural guidance to stakeholders.
• Familiarity with security practices for banking applications (authentication mechanisms, secure data handling, encryption, etc.).
• Experience collaborating with backend systems, APIs, and microservice architectures commonly used in banking environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to guide clients and internal teams on architectural decisions.
