Responsibilities of an Agile Scrum Master
- Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint review, and retrospective meetings.
- Identify and resolve blockers that slow down the team.
- Escalate issues to management when required.
- Guide the team on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor team members to become self-organized and cross-functional.
- Shield the team from external interruptions and unplanned work.
- Maintain a sustainable pace of delivery.
- Facilitate communication between developers, QA, Product Owner, and stakeholders.
- Ensure transparency of project progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Help refine and prioritize the product backlog.
- Ensure stories are well-defined, sized, and ready for development.
- Track sprint progress (velocity, burndown, blockers).
- Monitor metrics and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Drive retrospective actions and process improvement initiatives.
- Encourage a culture of learning, experimentation, and innovation.
