Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee the delivery of electrical capital works across Western Australia. This role is responsible for ensuring projects are scoped, designed, delivered, and reported on in line with corporate standards, safety obligations, and client expectations. Based south of the river, this position will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to support the successful execution of multiple electrical projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end‑to‑end delivery of electrical capital works across the State, ensuring alignment with client requirements and organisational standards.
- Review Project Charters, develop design briefs, and coordinate design activities to ensure constructability, compliance, and delivery readiness.
- Oversee assigned projects on site, ensuring completion within approved scope, budget, schedule, and quality parameters.
- Collaborate with internal Main Roads staff and a range of external stakeholders to support project development and execution.
- Provide accurate and timely reporting on project progress, including current and forecast expenditure.
Essential Criteria
- Proven project management skills, ideally within electrical or infrastructure environments.
- Demonstrated experience in financial management and reporting within allocated budgets.
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health policies and practices—particularly electrical safety—and an understanding of EEO, diversity, and equity principles.
Desirable Criteria
- A degree or diploma in electrical or electronic engineering, or a related technical discipline; a trade certificate in an electrical field will also be considered.
Contract Details
- Term: 6‑month initial contract
- Extension: Possible 6‑month extension based on performance and project requirements
- Location: South of the River, Perth
- Pay Rate: $70 per hour + super
- Weekly pay structure, with options to salary sacrifice
