About The Role

We are seeking a talented iOS Engineer to join our dynamic mobile team and contribute to shaping and accelerating our mobile Messenger strategy. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining our iOS SDK, which is integrated into thousands of iOS applications used by millions of users worldwide. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, backend engineers, and fellow mobile developers, to create innovative features and improve the overall user experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the future of mobile customer engagement and work on high-impact projects that reach a global audience. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 2+ years of experience developing mobile applications on iOS, demonstrating a strong understanding of iOS development principles and best practices. Proficiency in Swift is essential, with experience in Objective-C considered a plus. You should have a solid grasp of iOS APIs, design patterns, and architecture. Experience in publishing one or more apps on the App Store is required, showcasing your ability to deliver high-quality, user-centric applications. Strong collaboration skills are vital, as you will work directly with product teams and designers to translate requirements into functional features. A passion for learning new technologies and taking ownership of projects is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to shape the mobile strategy and define the roadmap for all Intercom mobile offerings.
  • Own the development lifecycle of features and components, from conception through deployment, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and well-tested iOS code that adheres to industry standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to the technical architecture and help define long-term solutions that support the company's growth and evolving needs.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and stability of our mobile SDKs.
  • Stay current with the latest iOS development trends and incorporate new techniques to improve product functionality and user experience.
  • Support cross-team initiatives by providing platform expertise and mentoring other engineers on iOS best practices.
