Role Overview:

As a Data Scientist at OptiComm.AI, you’ll help uncover the patterns, signals, and insights that power our intelligence layer.

You’ll work across commercial and operational data to develop predictive models, analytical frameworks, and decision-support systems that help companies act smarter and faster.

This role is ideal for someone early in their journey, but with strong analytical foundations, high curiosity, and the ambition to grow fast while working on meaningful real-world problems.

You won’t just analyze data in isolation. You’ll help transform messy, high-dimensional information into predictions, recommendations, and business logic that drive action at scale.

What you'll work on:

• Explore, prepare, and structure complex internal and external datasets
• Identify patterns, anomalies, risks, and growth opportunities across business processes
• Build and improve predictive models, analytical frameworks, and data-driven decision systems
• Run experiments, validate hypotheses, and measure both model and business performance
• Work closely with engineering, product, and business people to translate data into practical solutions
• Contribute to feature engineering, evaluation methodologies, and experimentation workflows
• Help integrate new signals and data sources that improve analytical and predictive power
• Translate real business problems into scalable data science solutions

What we're looking for:

• Solid understanding of data science and machine learning fundamentals, including feature engineering, model evaluation, statistical thinking, and validation
• Hands-on experience working with data through work, internships, research, competitions, or personal projects
• Strong problem-solving ability and comfort working with imperfect, unstructured, or evolving data
• Curiosity, ownership, and a builder mindset
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with technical and non-technical people
• 1+ year of experience in data science, machine learning, applied AI, analytics, or a related technical role
• Strong Python skills and familiarity with tools such as pandas, scikit-learn, notebooks, SQL, or similar
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Experience with SQL, APIs, data pipelines, experimentation, or MLOps workflows
• Interest in commerce, retail, logistics, or operational use cases
• Exposure to forecasting, anomaly detection, segmentation, or recommendation problems
• Curiosity about agentic systems, decision intelligence, and real-world AI applications
