At SOTEC Consulting – Astek Group, we are looking for a Test Automation Engineer with around 3+ years of experience to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks that ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of software applications.

The role involves collaborating closely with QA engineers, developers, and DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and enable continuous testing across the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks using tools such as Selenium and Appium.
• Collaborate with QA engineers and developers to define test strategies and automation roadmaps.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze results to identify defects and performance issues.
• Generate and maintain test reports and quality metrics for stakeholders.
• Configure and maintain test environments, test data, and testing infrastructure.
• Perform performance, stress, and scalability testing to evaluate system behavior under load.
• Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot defects and improve application reliability.
• Provide guidance and training on automation tools and testing best practices.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of experience in test automation
• Strong experience with:
• Selenium
• Appium
• Programming knowledge in:
• Node.js / JavaScript
• Modern frontend frameworks
• Experience integrating tests in CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of REST APIs and backend services
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies

Preferred Skills

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, k6)
• Knowledge of Docker or containerized environments
• Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured)
• Familiarity with test management tools
