Network Engineer | Hybrid | Boston | Up to $140,000

A professional services firm is looking to bring a skilled network engineer to their team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support a global enterprise network, including WAN, LAN, and IP convergence
  • Maintain Azure cloud networking environments, including VNET creation and peering, VPN and ExpressRoute gateways, and ExpressRoute circuit implementation and support
  • Install, configure, and maintain routers and switches across complex network environments supporting VLANs, QoS, VoIP, and advanced access lists
  • Monitor network performance, identify issues, and design and deploy solutions to improve stability, scalability, and performance
  • Ensure day-to-day network incidents are identified, escalated, and resolved in a timely manner

Support and maintain global voice systems, including:

  • Microsoft Teams Calling via Direct Routing
  • SIP connectivity via third-party providers
  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager and Unity Connection
  • Work closely with a global Network & Security team, contributing to ongoing network improvements and architectural decisions


What We Are Looking For

  • Strong experience supporting enterprise-wide WAN and LAN environments
  • Hands-on Azure cloud networking experience
  • Solid experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies
  • Cisco Voice Router (CUBE/SBC) experience
  • Experience managing SIP connectivity
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Teams Calling using Direct Routing (essential)
  • Experience deploying and supporting Cisco Unified Communications platforms (essential)
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, network protocols, Layer 1 connectivity, and network management concepts
  • Good knowledge of BGP and EIGRP routing protocols and WAN connectivity options
  • Experience with packet capture and analysis tools (e.g. Wireshark)
  • Familiarity with configuration, change management, and documentation best practices
  • High attention to detail, including neat and effective cable management
  • Advanced networking certifications such as CCNP / CCVP are beneficial

  • Salary: Up to $140,000 Per year dependent on experience and interview performance
