Android Developers are involved in the analysis, technical design, development and testing of mobile applications for the Android platform.
Android Developers are mainly responsible for:
- Building, deploying, testing mobile apps and releasing them to the Google Play Store
- Contributing to project analysis processes in collaboration with Project Managers, Analysts, UX Designers and other team members
- Applying designed user-interfaces with a pixel-perfectionist developer mindset
- Ensuring the usage of best development optimisation techniques
Desired Skills & Expertise:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field such as Computer Science, Engineering etc.
- 2+ years of experience developing native Android applications
- Experience w/ object-oriented programming & design patterns
- Demonstrated knowledge of techniques and programming languages of Kotlin and Java
- Familiarity with TypeScript, JavaScript, ES6, CSS3, & HTML5
- Knowledge of service-oriented technologies such as RESTful APIs and JSON web services
- Experience w/ automated testing suites, like Jest or Mocha is another plus
- Experience in React-Native & iOS development is a plus
- Knowledge of Git and good code versioning and management practices
- Experience with TDD, Continuous Integration & Deployment
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Good command of written and spoken English
