Engineering Manager - Hands on - Up to £170,000 + great benefits - Remote first business
My client a leading software business the security space and are now looking to build out there first UK software engineering team. They were founded around 10 years ago, have circa 500 employees globally and are looking for a Engineering manager to join there team. This is very much a 50/50 hands on / hands off role and you will manage 6 other engineers all at a Senior level.
They pride themselves onhaving very strong engineering standards and hire the top 5% of engineers globally.
They build an AI-powered identity verification and fraud prevention platform and have around 20 products in there product offering. They have raised over $600 million in funding since inception, currently valued at over $5 billion.
Their tech stack is Golang, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD and distributed systems and you will be building out there core platform with a newly built team. They have over 3000 enterprise clients and work with some of the biggest companies globally.
You should have at least ten years experience in software engineering and 3 years experience leading or mentoring engineers. You will make architectural decisions with the team aswell as being responsible for scaling the team, as well as day to day managerial tasks. The engineers you will manage will all be Senior initially.
You will also be expected to have very strong fundamentals in software engineering ideally within Golang.
They are paying between £140,000 and £175,000 for a Engineering manager with up to a 15% bonus and RSU's available. The ideal candidate should be able to visit london max once a week but they would consider monthly visits for exceptional candidates.
