Our client is looking for an experienced Scrum Master to support the development and effectiveness of an IT operations team. In this role, you will help the team improve collaboration, increase transparency in their work, and strengthen the delivery of IT services to the wider organization.


The position is part of an environment focused on continuous improvement, process optimization, and increased automation. You will guide the team in adopting structured ways of working, ensuring clear priorities and predictable delivery while fostering stronger cooperation across the IT department.


The Scrum Master will report to the Head of Information Management & IT.


Key Objectives

Over the coming period, the IT operations team aims to:

  • Improve reliability and consistency in service delivery
  • Provide clearer reporting on progress and performance
  • Strengthen collaboration by bringing multiple support teams together into a unified structure
  • Increase automation across operational processes
  • Expand self-service capabilities for end users

Key Responsibilities

Team Coaching & Agile Facilitation

  • Guide the IT operations team in improving workflows and adopting effective Agile practices
  • Facilitate team meetings, planning sessions, and other recurring ceremonies
  • Encourage accountability and ownership within the team

Operational Oversight

  • Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and help ensure commitments to the organization are met
  • Support the team in balancing operational support activities with improvement or change initiatives

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and increase operational efficiency
  • Help define and maintain quality standards for IT service delivery

Collaboration & Coordination

  • Act as a bridge between IT operations, architects, advisors, and other technical stakeholders
  • Promote clear communication and alignment between teams

Transparency & Reporting

  • Help create visibility into workloads, progress, and outcomes
  • Encourage structured planning and predictable delivery of tasks and improvements

Service Orientation

  • Support initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and service quality
  • Help teams establish realistic and clearly defined commitments to internal stakeholders


Candidate Profile


Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator
  • Experience working within IT operations, service management, or DevOps environments

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong facilitation and team coaching abilities
  • Ability to connect stakeholders across technical and operational teams
  • Structured approach to planning, communication, and documentation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate teams and support their professional development
  • Comfortable encouraging accountability and constructive feedback within teams
  • Customer-focused mindset with an understanding of organizational needs
