Role Description

The National Institute of Chemistry seeks a motivated Doctoral Student for a full-time hybrid role based in the Ljubljana, Slovenia Metropolitan Area. The candidate will conduct in-depth scientific research in fields aligned with the chemical engineering, and biomaterials science. Daily tasks will involve designing experiments, analyzing data, preparing scientific and technical publications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and project. While the position requires lab work and collaboration at the Institute, remote work and foreign exchange program opportunities are also available.

Qualifications

• Passion for science and/or engineering.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken; additional language skills are a plus.
• Experience or interest in working on solution based research projects is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills.
