About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer specializing in C#.NET to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing and maintaining innovative software solutions for our clients in the leisure industry. Your responsibilities will include collaborating closely with key clients to understand their requirements, providing technical advice, and translating these needs into scalable, efficient software modules. You will work on the development and operation of microservices using C#, ASP.NET, and REST APIs, as well as backend and database development with T-SQL. Additionally, you will be involved in analyzing, modernizing, and maintaining legacy systems built on older .NET frameworks, ensuring seamless integration and performance. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on challenging projects in a supportive environment that values initiative, creativity, and technical excellence.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable qualification, with at least five years of practical experience in backend development using C#, ASP.NET, and T-SQL. You should demonstrate a structured, independent work style combined with strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with team members and clients alike. Proficiency in Azure DevOps processes and CI/CD pipelines is essential, along with experience in working with legacy systems and their modernization. Fluency in both German and English (minimum C1 level) is required, as well as confident use of Microsoft Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code. Additional knowledge in MSSQL database administration, Python, SciKit, n8n, hosting local large language models, mobile application development, and Clean Code Architecture will be considered advantageous. Experience within the caravan or after-sales industry is also a plus.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with key clients to understand their technical requirements and provide expert advice.
- Analyze customer needs and translate them into effective software solutions, including module development for our web portal.
- Maintain, enhance, and refactor existing software systems to improve performance and scalability.
- Design, develop, and deploy microservices utilizing C#, ASP.NET, and RESTful APIs.
- Engage in backend and database development, ensuring robust data management and system integration.
- Create and maintain interfaces between our software systems and those of our clients to facilitate seamless data exchange.
- Analyze legacy codebases based on .NET 4.8 and WebForms, implementing modernization strategies incrementally.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold high-quality standards.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and incorporate best practices into development workflows.
