- The Cash Office Executive for small store formats is responsible for overseeing all financial reconciliation and reporting activities associated with store operations. This includes managing daily cash handling processes, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with IKEA/AL Futtaim directives and internal SOPs. The role requires strong attention to detail, timely reporting, and provision of excellent customer service both internally and externally.
Operational
- Conduct daily reconciliation of store takings and generate accurate reporting.
- Monitor and reconcile foreign exchange rates and transactions.
- Oversee collection and control of cheques.
- Perform daily tallying of safe funds.
- Facilitate credit card reconciliation processes.
- Manage gift voucher redemption and reconciliation.
- Handle banking of various tender types.
- Supervise store petty cash management.
- Ensure quality and compliance in adhering to daily/weekly/monthly procedures along with timely reporting.
- Investigate till discrepancy cases and communicate findings to Cash Office Group Leader and relevant departments.
- Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers regarding petty cash, quotes, LPOs, and payments.
- Maintain continuous compliance with IKEA/AL Futtaim directives and internal Standard Operating Procedures in cash office processes.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Excel and data management tools.
- Strong result orientation and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated individual accountability and a continuous improvement approach.
- University degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Commerce.
- 2-3 years retail cash handling experience; finance and accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting and cash handling processes.
- Advanced computer literacy, especially with MS Office Excel and data management tools.
- Very good command of English language; good command of Arabic is preferred.
