WHAT WE DO

We are set up to provide our customers with end-to-end support in the process of developing software solutions:

  • Business need analysis, design of functional and non-functional requirements, system analysis, support for business transformation and IT/business consultancy;
  • User interface and experience design and development for mobile and desktop applications;
  • Front and back-end development in a wide range of technologies: Java, .NET, Ruby, GoLang, Oracle, Python.
  • Complete Data Warehouse solutions from architecture, design and implementation using mainly Vertica, Oracle and Microsoft platforms.
  • Avalanche has been the central counterparty for multiple major banking projects in the Scandinavia and Baltics, in areas such as lending automation, regulatory reporting and calculations, integrations, governance, risk and compliance, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, AML/KYC.


ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a high-impact Regulatory Reporting initiative for one of our key enterprise banking clients.

This is a strong consulting opportunity for a mature analyst who is confident working across business, data, process, and reporting requirements in a complex banking environment. The role sits in a strategically important area where quality, clarity, and stakeholder alignment matter.

You will help drive requirements engineering activities across regulatory reporting initiatives, with possible focus areas such as AnaCredit, local reporting in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, COREP, FINREP, LCR, and other regulatory reporting domains. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, development, testing, release management, and delivery teams to help shape and support successful reporting and data solutions.

We are especially interested in consultants who can combine solid business analysis discipline, strong data understanding, and good regulatory reporting knowledge within banking.


DO YOU HAVE…

🌟 At least 3+ years of experience in an analyst role within Finance, Business Intelligence, Information Technology, or a related area

🌟 At least 2+ years of hands-on experience in business analysis, requirements engineering, and business process modelling

🌟 At least 2+ years of experience working with data-focused initiatives, including data requirements, data mapping, technical specifications, and analysis of datasets

🌟 Good to advanced knowledge of regulatory reporting across banking products, systems, processes, and financial data. Previous hands-on experience in regulatory reporting domains such as:

  • AnaCredit
  • Local regulatory reporting in Latvia, Lithuania, or Estonia
  • COREP
  • FINREP
  • LCR

🌟 Proven ability to translate regulatory reporting needs into clear business and data requirements, with understanding of reporting rules, validation logic, and supervisory expectations

🌟 Good understanding of data literacy, data warehouse concepts, and reporting solutions

🌟 Prior experience supporting data sourcing or data procurement activities

🌟 Experience supporting metadata collection and data quality activities together with Data Stewards

🌟 Stronger exposure to enterprise banking environments where reporting, controls, and data accuracy are business-critical

🌟 Good working knowledge of software development processes and collaboration across cross-functional delivery teams

🌟 Good SQL skills

🌟 Good experience with Microsoft Office, Jira, and Confluence

🌟 Strong analytical thinking and strong reporting skills

🌟 Excellent written and spoken English

🌟 Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Mathematics, or Information Technology
