Scrum Master
Our client, a leading organisation within the technology services sector, is seeking an experienced Technical Scrum Master to support Agile delivery across multiple engineering and service teams, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to ensure effective team collaboration and delivery focus.
- Maintain and refine product backlogs, ensuring user stories are clearly defined, prioritised, and ready for development.
- Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement within delivery teams.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, support, and operational teams to ensure alignment with service delivery objectives and customer commitments.
- Identify delivery risks and impediments early, working with stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain delivery momentum.
- Monitor and evaluate delivery performance using Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown, throughput, and defect trends to support informed decision-making.
- Support teams in managing technical dependencies and programme-level coordination within complex solution environments.
- Maintain visibility of delivery progress through roadmaps, milestone tracking, and dependency management across teams.
- Ensure project tracking tools and Agile boards accurately reflect progress and are used effectively for reporting and governance.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years working as a Scrum Master or Agile facilitator within cross-functional technology teams.
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks and practices with demonstrated experience removing delivery obstacles and enabling team productivity.
- Proven experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing delivery metrics such as velocity, burn-down charts, and sprint completion rates.
- Experience coordinating delivery across multiple internal teams within complex technical environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively across both technical and business audiences.
- Experience managing multiple initiatives or workstreams simultaneously within a structured delivery framework.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret delivery data and apply insights to improve performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including documentation, reporting, and presentation capabilities.
Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting service delivery or operational teams within technology-driven organisations.
- Familiarity with Agile tooling and reporting platforms such as Jira or similar work management systems.
- Exposure to technical delivery environments involving engineering, product, and support teams.
- Experience implementing delivery improvements through retrospective insights and performance metrics.
- Understanding of programme-level planning, roadmap management, and dependency tracking.
Educational Requirements
- Third-level degree or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Professional Scrum certification such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent.
