Project Manager – IT Systems Implementation

Location: Regina, SK (Remote within Canada considered)

Duration: 24+ month contract (with possible extensions)

Overview

An organization in the public sector is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a large-scale electronic patient care reporting system. This project will support the transition from paper-based processes to a fully digital system used by emergency services teams.

The Project Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of the implementation, including planning, governance, stakeholder coordination, and change management while ensuring the project is delivered on time and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall planning, governance, and execution of a major IT implementation project.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Oversee system validation, testing, and compatibility across applications and devices.
• Develop dashboards and reporting to track project progress.
• Manage procurement activities and financial tracking.
• Lead issue management, escalation processes, and resolution strategies.
• Coordinate organizational change management and user adoption activities.
• Provide regular project updates and communications to leadership and stakeholders.
• Support requirements gathering, solution design, and future system development.
• Ensure effective collaboration across project teams and external partners.

Required Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
• 5+ years of project management experience.
• 2+ years managing large-scale IT software or infrastructure projects.
• 2+ years of organizational change management experience.
• Experience with ESO Medusa Medical Technologies software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare or research environments.
• Experience with data analytics or IT systems projects.
• Familiarity with emergency services or healthcare technology environments.
• Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Work Environment

• Remote work is possible within Canada, though candidates located near Regina are preferred.
