Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure on AWS
- Provision and manage AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, VPC, Route 53, CloudFront, IAM, ALB, and CloudWatch
- Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Develop, support, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and CodePipeline
- Manage and support containerised applications using Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, and Helm
- Perform daily system health checks, monitoring, incident response, patching, backup validation, and recovery support
- Monitor infrastructure and applications using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, CloudTrail, and SNS alerts
- Automate operational tasks using Ansible, Bash, and Python
- Support cloud migration and modernisation initiatives from on-premise to AWS
- Troubleshoot deployment issues, infrastructure incidents, and performance bottlenecks across cloud and hybrid environments
- Administer and support Linux systems including Red Hat Linux, Oracle Linux, SUSE Linux, and Solaris
- Manage virtualization platforms including VMware ESXi, vCenter, vMotion, HA, DRS, and vSAN
- Support enterprise storage and infrastructure environments including SAN/NAS technologies
- Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and operational procedures
- Participate in on-call support and incident management activities
- Minimum 8 to 14 years of relevant experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, Linux/Unix administration, or infrastructure support
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
- Good experience in Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Strong Linux administration experience across enterprise environments
- Good understanding of CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and cloud operations
- Experience in VMware virtualization, storage, backup, and disaster recovery support
- Proficiency in scripting using Bash and/or Python
- Experience with OpenShift, Mirantis Kubernetes Engine (MKE), Chef, and Puppet
- Exposure to Oracle VM, Oracle RAC, ASM, and OLVM
- Experience supporting AIX, VIO, HACMP, HMC, and IBM Power Systems environments
- Knowledge of enterprise storage platforms such as EMC VMAX, VNX, NetApp, Isilon, PowerMax, Oceandisk, Oceanstore, and Dorado
- Experience in data centre migration, platform modernisation, and hybrid cloud transformation
- Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow
